The current situation in agriculture as a result of the lack of water in the fields foresees major problems in terms of productivity, crop quality, fruit fattening and ripening.

This situation is being viewed with great concern in southern Spain. The lack of irrigation water and cutbacks in water consumption are putting farmers on their feet and their crops are suffering significant losses.

Biorizon Biotech has been anticipating this situation for some years, carrying out trials on different crops with effective solutions that optimise every drop of water that the plants receive.

REFORZAX-H, efficiency in extreme conditions.

The use of REFORZAX-H in trials carried out by Biorizon Biotech’s Research and Development team for new products has obtained very satisfactory results.

Under extreme conditions, with a 50% reduction in irrigation, plants treated with REFORZAX-H, managed to optimally and efficiently manage the available irrigation water, resulting in plants with vigorous leaves, hydrated and with good colour.

The results of the trial are summarised as follows:

1. Stimulation of the internal cellular machinery prevents stomata closure under water stress conditions, resulting in a high photosynthetic rate due to higher CO2 availability.
Induction of antioxidant capacity and reduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS), preventing cell deterioration and cell death.
3. Increase of cell metabolites with osmoprotective action that maintain the integrity of cell membranes under water stress conditions, maintaining leaf water content.
